m31: A Square With Sharp Edges
I work with different shapes all the time, trying to push the boundaries. m31 is a sharp-edged square.
The shape
A square case with hard edges and no softness at the corners. Most bags hide their edges. This one shows them off. The cross stitching along the edges is what brings it all together.
The leather
London tan English bridle leather, from J&E Sedgwick in the UK. A solid brass Italian key lock, handmade, sits on the front.
Inside and out
The lining is red sheepskin suede, very soft and great to touch. A long flat handle runs across the top. D rings on the sides take a long adjustable shoulder strap.
