The Origin
A Century
of Method
The Alfred Wallace briefcase represents the inception of a journey into fine leather craftsmanship, initially tailored to meet the distinguished needs of legal professionals.
This creation epitomizes the English style in bridle leather briefcases, meticulously handcrafted in a manner that echoes the revered techniques of artisans from over a century ago. The dedication to these traditional methods involves extensive hours of manual labor, employing only hand tools without the assistance of modern conveniences such as sewing machines.
This commitment to craftsmanship not only honors the legacy of the past but also ensures unparalleled longevity in every piece — briefcases built to outlast their owners, becoming heirlooms of professional life.

Hand saddle stitched throughout. Every stitch placed by hand using traditional awls and needles — no machine contact.

The Art of
Making a Wallace
Each briefcase is built from scratch, by hand, using tools unchanged for over a century. No shortcuts. No machines. Only the artisan’s skill and time.
Leather Selection
Each hide is hand-selected from heritage tanneries — English Bridle (UK), Wickett & Craig (USA), or exotic American Alligator.
Cutting & Preparation
Panels cut by hand. Edges beveled and burnished. Every stitch line pre-marked using dividers — no templates, only trained hands.
Hand Saddle Stitching
Two needles, waxed linen thread. Every seam hand saddle stitched — a bond stronger than any machine stitch.
Finishing & Hardware
Italian brass hardware fitted by hand. Cross-stitch handle, double front straps, shoulder strap assembled, then final edge burnish.
