m33: Chestnut Envelope Case, Purple Inside

Chestnut bridle leather folded into a flat envelope, closed with a brass lock set the old way, and a lining of purple suede you find when you open it.

The leather

m33 is made from English bridle leather in chestnut, cut from J&E Sedgwick hides, from the tannery in the UK. Inside, the lining is Italian calf suede in purple.

The lock

The lock is a traditional English key lock in solid brass. I install these with real rivets, the old way of hammering pins, not screws. A rivet set that way does not back out.

By hand

Everything is hand stitched with waxed thread, and the holes are hand punched. The edges are finished with a latex edge paint.
