m13: Red, Navy Suede, Two Brass Buckles
Red leather draws a fight. People either want it or they have a story about why they never would. m13 is for the first group.
Red outside, blue inside
The body is red UK English bridle leather with yellow stitching. Two brass buckle straps cross the front, and a small shield stamp sits on the front pocket. Inside, the lining is blue Italian calf suede with yellow stitching along the divider.

Built like a briefcase
11 x 8 x 4 inches with two 2 inch gussets, hand saddle stitched, made in late 2023. The shoulder strap is red, lined in navy, with brass clips, adjustable, 20 inch drop and 1 inch width.

How it is made
The suede is real: see the suede lining page for why I use it instead of microsuede, and the care page for how to look after it.
The bridle leather is described on my leather page, and the journal explains it in What English Bridle Leather Actually Is, and Why Briefcases Are Cut From It.
The seams are hand stitched; see The Saddle Stitch Explained: Hand-Sewing Leather Step by Step for the method.
