Fyodor M Dostoyevsky 010: Black with a Nickel Lock Plate

Fyodor M Dostoyevsky 010 is black, and its character is in the lock. A nickel plate with a keyhole, held by four rivets, sits on a stitched leather tab at the center of the front. A second plate comes down from the flap to meet it.

A leather handle with nickel ends rises from the top. From the side, the case is flat and narrow, with a ring on a riveted leather tab that takes a shoulder strap.

The black stitching follows the outline of the tab and the flap edge, so the thread nearly disappears into the leather.
