Jefferson 1612
Jefferson 1612 is chestnut leather with a brass combination lock, and the lock has the whole front to itself.
A ring of hand stitching surrounds the plate, and the closeup shows the dial, the rivets and the hasp that reaches up under the flap. The color of the leather is warm and even, a little redder in the light.
The case is built in two sections with gussets between them. From the side the layers show as parallel panels, each edged in black.
The handle is leather, stitched, with brass fittings at each end. When the flap is thrown back, the lock is visible from the inside as well.
