Thomas More 1928

Chestnut outside, red inside. The Thomas More 1928 is lined in a saturated red suede, and when the flap goes up it is the only color in the frame.

The exterior is chestnut bridle leather with two brass buckle straps, brass D rings at the sides and a leather handle on a dark bar across the top. The edges are dark brown. Yellow stitching runs along the seams, and at the corner it sits beside the edge in a tight line.

The back is a flat panel, with the two straps running down it to their keepers. A frame taken from low at one corner shows the straps wrapping around the body, a brass ring on the side, and brass rivets at the strap ends.

The suede has a nap that shows brushed marks where the light crosses it.
