Thomas More 1908
A briefcase photographed outdoors tells you something a studio shot cannot. The Thomas More 1908 spent part of its shoot on a park bench and part on a rock at the edge of the water.
It is a chestnut bridle leather case with two straps over the flap, each closing in a brass buckle. Brass rings sit at the top corners and take a shoulder strap with its own padded section. The leather handle rises between them. Down the side, the sections stack in layers, and the edges are dark against the red-brown of the leather.
On the bench the straps and the shoulder strap lie across the slats. On the rock the water sits behind it.
Hand stitching runs along the seams.
