Pascal 2304

Pascal 2304 is black above and tan below, with a bull on top.

The flap is black. Below it the body turns a golden tan, and a thin tan edge runs around the flap where the two colors meet. The split reads like a horizon: dark sky over a lit field. A brass hook on a tan tab closes the front, and at the top corner of the gusset a tan loop carries a ring for the shoulder strap, which is tan too, and shown coiled in front of the case in the first photograph.

The handle is the sculpture. A cast bull, brass with traces of green in the recesses, stands on the lid with its horns swept out to either side, and the end-on photograph shows it in the round: the head forward, the horns curling out and up. From the side it looks like a bull in mid-stride, and the legs make the posts that bolt it to the case.

Inside, the lining is a suede-like tan that matches the lower body. Two short black leather straps, each fixed with a pair of rivets, lie flat against the lining.

In the angled photograph the black flap, the tan body and the brass hook all show at once.
