Newton 2021

Newton 2021 closes with two latches.

Two stitched straps drop from the flap, and each one carries a brass hook. They sit about a hand apart on the front, which gives the case a symmetry that the single-hook Newtons do not have. The black leather is matte and slightly cloudy, and the brass is the only bright thing on it.

The handle on top is a leather strip with a tab at each end, and the end-on photograph shows how it rounds off. The open-flap view lays the case flat, with both hooks lying on the body and the flap folded back.

The last photograph is of the strap alone. It is black, stitched along both edges, and has a wider padded section in the middle where it sits on the shoulder, with brass buckle hardware at one end.
