McCarty 1555

McCarty 1555 is the quiet one in the McCarty family.

The case is black on the outside and tan on the inside, and the photo with the flap lifted shows how sharp that change is. Open it and the lining is a warm suede-like tan against the dark body. Close it and nothing of that shows.

Silver-toned metal replaces the brass of its siblings. A long hook rides on a stitched tab in the center of the front, with a small chain beside it. The handle on top is thin, a single narrow strip of leather held at both ends by rings.

The shoulder strap is separate. It is black, stitched, and ends in clip hooks that fasten to the rings at the top corners of the case. The close-up gallery photo shows the strap lying coiled in front of the hook.

Seen from the side, the body stays slim and the flap lies close to the front.
