McCarty 1550 Backpack
McCarty 1550 is a briefcase that can also be worn like a backpack.
Black leather covers the front, the flap and the back. The sides break from that with a saddle tan, so the case looks dark head-on and warm the moment it turns.
A tan strap closes the flap, with brass hardware where it meets the front. I photographed the close-up of that hook because the stitching along the strap edge is as much a part of the design as the metal.
The carrying system is the reason for the name. Black straps clip onto brass swivel hooks at the corners of the case, and a tan pad sits on the shoulder where the strap crosses. The photos show it hanging from a mannequin in the shop and then hanging from its straps.
The swivel hooks are the detail to look at in the last photo.
