Jefferson 1125

Jefferson 1125 is a honey tan briefcase with a straight-edged flap, a brass lock in the middle and a stitched leather handle on top.

The inside is where the work shows. The lining is brown suede, and on the inside of the flap I sewed a small pocket and a pair of pen loops, so the things a person reaches for first sit in the lid.

The flap pocket and pen loops are small things, but they are the reason the case opens the way it does.

Seen from the bottom edge, the case is a slab with a flat handle along its length. It is a plain shape, and I wanted the stitching and the color to carry it.
