Hōnen 440: Red Leather Briefcase with Brass Buckle Closure (very early version)

Hōnen 440 is a red leather briefcase with a flap that folds down over the front and a brass buckle holding it shut.

A short handle sits on top. A long strap with brass clips comes with it, and it lies across the front in the first photograph.

I photographed it on a white background, then up close on the buckle, then in front of a wall map beside two rocks, and last against bare trees on a cut log.
