Galileo 1077
Galileo 1077 is a thin briefcase in brown bridle leather with a red suede lining, and the red is the first thing anyone sees when the flap goes up.
Two buckle latches flank a round brass combination lock in the middle of the front. The lock dial is set into a ring of hand stitching, which makes the plate look like part of the leather rather than something bolted on.
Behind the flap the case is split into double compartments, and from the side the two sections show as stacked layers, slim enough to slide under an arm. A top handle and side rings take a strap.
The dark leather has a deep gloss on it. Against that, the brass is almost yellow and the lining almost loud, and I never found a reason to tone either one down.
