Durkheim 1480

Durkheim 1480 is a tan briefcase with brass at every point where a strap meets the leather. The edges are painted black, which draws a dark line around each panel.

Two buckled straps hold the flap down, and a hook at the center locks it. A handle sits on top between two metal rings, and a long strap lies loose in front of the case in the studio photograph.

Open the flap and the lining is a pale green, with slots cut into it for pockets. Along the front the case is built in layers, and the side view shows the folds stacked one above the next.

The close-ups below show the hook, the stitching around the strap loops and a snap fixed inside the flap.
