McCarty 1542
McCarty 1542 is the one I call the Luggage Trolley Briefcase.
Turn it around and the reason is on the back. Two stitched leather loops are set into the back panel, side by side. They are the whole idea of the style, and from the front you would never know they were there.
The front is the usual McCarty restraint. A silver-toned hook sits on a stitched tab in the middle, flat black leather above and below it, and a rounded flap that comes down over the top. The close-up photographs show how the stitching on the tab frames the metal.
The handle is a short leather strip held with silver rivets at both ends, and the view from above shows how little it rises off the case. The body is divided into sections, and the lining visible at the edge of the back view is a pale tan.
The two loops on the back are what the name refers to.
