Hera 1105

Hera 1105 is a portfolio in a deep red-brown leather, with two buckle straps across a rounded flap and a rolled handle on top.

The photos here follow the piece from the bench to the finished case. A few show the leather cut out and laid flat, with the buckles, the keepers and the thread set around it, the parts waiting for the needle.

Once assembled, the flap folds over the front, the straps close on nickel buckles, and a line of hand stitching runs around the edge.

The red in the leather deepens under warm light. In the bench shots it glows almost orange, and in the studio shot it settles back toward brown.
